Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Description:

The Administrative Assistant position contributes to JL's success through quality control monitoring, compliance reporting of federal/state housing requirements and internal company policies and procedures. Additionally, this position will provide management support to commercial spaces. Some of the duties include: reviewing tenant files to assess compliance, recommending corrective action, compiling monthly reports and findings, receiving monthly rental payments, preparing deposits and assessing late fees, drafting commercial leases as well as lease renewals, keeping updated deadline calendars and stacking plans for a commercial building in addition to drafting yearly budgets and monthly budget variance reports. Other monthly reporting will also be a duty as well as updating various spreadsheets, monitoring trends of the current competition in the rental market, providing periodic assistance to the maintenance department and/or any of the rental properties, maintaining the company websites, sorting and distributing incoming mail, answering and directing incoming phone calls and other duties as assigned.

Required:

Applicant must possess good customer service skills with a positive attitude, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications. Must be detail oriented, have high-quality organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, able to adapt to changing work positions and duties as required.

Education & Experience

Required

Minimum one year accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, experience in real estate environment preferred, high school diploma.

Position Title: Maintenance Foreman Trainee

Description:

The Foreman Trainee is a mid-level position with the specific goal of becoming Foreman with our company-provided and on-the-job training program. The Foreman is a team leader and coordinator for a small group of 3-5 maintenance technicians. This position will coordinate daily maintenance needs and preventive maintenance schedules for all apartment building systems under the direction and collaboration of the Property Manager. The successful candidate will possess working knowledge of apartment building systems including maintenance and repairs of those systems. Will interact with tenants, property management staff and subcontractors.

Required:

Applicant must possess verifiable relevant experience in the building maintenance field. Applicant must have excellent communication skills, and be highly dependable, motivated, organized, and have good time management skills. 40 hours per week, M-F plus On-Call rotation.

Education & Experience

Required

Minimum one year experience required, technical certifications desired. Applicant must have valid ADL, good driving background and pass a criminal background check.

The successful candidate will possess working knowledge of grounds procedures. Duties will include maintaining equipment, lawn care, planting and maintaining ornamented trees, shrubs and flowers. Position is seasonal, full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F.
